About our program:

Are you looking for an engaging Industry-Based Learning Placement?

Join our paid HR student program and take on real-world business challenges in our Australian operations! You’ll support our Human Resources Team to deliver outstanding service to the business, managers, and employees. Gain hands-on experience in diverse HR functions, including HRIS maintenance, learning and development, performance management, employee engagement, recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding. This is your chance to integrate your academic studies with practical experience while making a real impact!

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in team meetings, contribute ideas, and offer support to colleagues.
  • Engage in all BSH Student projects and collaboration sessions.
  • Follow all Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide general HR administrative assistance (including creating employment letters, monitoring fixed-term contracts, and maintaining the HRIS system).
  • Assist with Recruitment activities (including on boarding and offboarding).
  • Maintain training budget database & spreadsheet.
  • Send Compliance training emails to new employees.
  • Coordinate inhouse and external training.
  • Participate in performance meetings.
  • Assist in annual employee development process.
  • Be proactive in suggesting and driving initiatives to increase staff engagement.
  • Engage and assist with Team Projects.

Skills and experience:

  • Must have full working rights in Australia.
  • Currently studying and undertaking a placement as part of study.
  • Ability to build and maintain productive and positive relationships within a diverse environment.
  • Ability and willingness to seek information, apply context, and share knowledge.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills.
